my tranny and car are 5 speed-can i use an ecu out of an auto car?? thanks
reason for auto ecu is that the local yard has an auto but no 5speeds. just trying to make my life easier. thanks

Re: does it matter what ecu i use?? (poison)
but would it work or would it definately need reprogramming. cuz then it's not worth it. i can just search for a p28 that is a 5 speed.

you can convert an auto ecu to a five speed one just by replacing a resistor..

i have a how to on my site
you can use the p28, but since the engine is obd2, you may run into a problem with the disttributor
