My cars also shakes when ac is on even tho ac does not work. Car has 151k. It shakes and also makes a loud rattle screech noise from under hood?

 

Your compressor is probably seized. Visual inspection of that is stupidly easy, and should have been the first thing you did. Bumping a 6 year old thread, however, is the thing you should have done never.

 

Look at all these random *** replies.... reminds me of why I always hated this forum. Everyone knows the answer and tells you to change this/that when the answer is clearly wrong.

Once you've done that, visually inspect your AC compressor. Start the car, and have a friend click the AC button while you stare at it. Does it spin? Does the belt slip? Visual checks are diagnostics 101 for nearly ANYTHING on a car.
