Default starting problem

Honda fam im having another problem with my EK. So its snow down here in Tappahannock Va and tempa been low. For awhile now every once in awhile my car would pause during start up but it would start. Last night it did it again but like usual it started. I drove it and parked it. This morning I went to start the car and it paused during start up again but this time it just stopped. So I turned the key back and tried it again and nothing. No turn no click nothing. So I said forget it ill try again later. Tried it again and still nothing at all so this time I bumped the key a couple times and nothing. I held the key in start position and nothing but a check engine light. Has anyone had this problem before. If so please help me. Thanx in advance

If the battery checks out OK, check your connection at the S terminal. Could be loose causing intermittent no starts. picture_5574.jpg Photo by RonJ_HT | Photobucket

If your battery terminal and S terminals check out okay, cut a hole in your floor and roll like the Flintstones.

But before you Flintstone it up, make sure your battery terminals aren't corroded?

I thought we were talking about a car.......and an overlooked question OP, we don't know why your CEL came on but you can pull the code(s) to find out why it did.

Well this morning i thought id go out and try to crank car again. Cranked with the pause. Cut it off after it warmed up and tried it again and it cranks up no problem and no pause. Could it be that the starter is too cold. CEL still on Lol. Going to have it checked
