Icon6 Compression Ratio and Boost

i have a d15b7 block with a d16z6 head and i plan on turboing it. what is a good compression ratio to get 10-15 lbs of boost and still be able to run pump gas with no problem. this will be my first turbo build, and will the factory b7 crank be able to hold that much boost?

There is more involved to turboing an NA motor than just slapping an ebay kit on.

You need to do a lot of math as well as look at some compressor maps and figuring out how much HP/TQ you want to achieve.

Or just slap an ebay kit on and hope for the best :D

Either we're severely misunderstanding what you're trying to say, or you're severely misunderstanding what you're trying to do. Start off by getting PSI out of your head. It's not a metric you should be worrying about. Decide on what you want your power goal to be, find a properly sized turbo to reach that power goal, and then set your WG to whatever PSI it takes to attain your power goal. It might be 4, it might be 40, but the point is, it's irrelevant.

That being said, you can easily (and safely) build for 11:1 on 93, and possibly higher depending on the competency of your tuner.
