Default No crank no power battery good.

Hello i have a 96 civic hatch back and tonight it decided to die out of the blue, theres no power at all the car is stock besides a cai and HID lights. It was driving fine earlier. I tried the battery from my Integra and it was still dead! no power no lights no nothing! Could there be a fuse i need to look for that may have broke?

I'll try that but I popped the fuse box in the engine bay and found this fused all messed up the cap came off and it looks burnt and melted. Its a 40 amp fuse why did it burn like this, on my integra even though its a 99 the same fuse is a 100 amp, are they different and or will this fuse work on the civic?

It seems that the 80A fuse is blown. Replace it.

HOWEVER, the hazard lights and horn should still work if that fuse is blown.

Well I replaced the fuse with the one from my project integra and the car has power now, could it of been because it was the wrong fuse cause it was a 40 amp? The fuse blew but I wonder how and why?

I'm assuming you never tested the hazard lights and horn. You could remove nearly every fuse in your car and those should still function.

A 40A fuse clearly does not belong in an 80A slot.
