Probably another clutch system question

Default Probably another clutch system question

2007 Civic, 98,xxx miles
Replaced clutch due to slipping and weird clutch pedal.
Clutch is fine now but pedal issue still there. I replaced master and slave. Problem is still there.
So out of replacing all that, I haven't found the root of this concern.
If you push clutch in, it comes back half way, sticks and releases. If you keep pumping it, it will quit sticking but the pedal gets harder to push in.
If you let it sit 30 seconds it does the sticking part again till it gets pumped up.
I've done plenty of clutches but have never seen this.
I greased pedal and all associated parts to no avail.
What am I over looking?
Possible collapsed rubber clutch line?

Did you inspect the throw-out bearing during the repairs? Is there any evidence of damage?

It was noisy, worn bearing. Replaced as should.

When you changed the clutch MC did you replace the rubber hose also?

Not the rubber hose from res to mastercylinder.
It bleeds out so I know fluids traveling.
Was gonna check out the rubber line from the hard line to the slave cylinder.
Maybe that came apart from the inside.

Replaced said hose^^ and car is fixed, pedal is normal.

This happened to an Si that I bought from a friend. Whenever I sed people's cars with this or similar conditions....these are my predictions...and I'm usually right:

Did you use antisieze on the throw out bearing guide and clutch splines? If you did, you'll need to take off the trans, clean it all off and use grease. Honda High Temp Urea grease works better than anything else. Antisieze is not grease. It doesn't lubricate sliding parts and it will start to distort your release bearing guide sleeve.

Your relase bearing guide sleeve might be distorted already. You can sand it smooth after cleaning any grease off it. Then you re-film it with urea grease.

Collapsed hose.

Maybe you bave a stuck CDV valve.

On an unrelated note.....your weird pedal and clutch slip means you might also have to adjust your master cylinder freeplay. You have to adjust that when you install a master cylinder.

Edit: you found a collapsed hose.
