Car: 1996 Honda Civic Dx
The horn out of no where stopped working one day. Replacing the under the hood fuse and replacing the horn relay did not solve the problem. The horn itself is not faulty because when I alarm my car twice, the horn makes a honk noise.
I'm looking at the manual and one of the step (see pic below) says to test the cable reel sub-harness 3P connector for continuity. Is the sub-harness 3P connector the one that's yellow? I just wanted to make sure I'm testing the right harness.
Any other things I should check to resolve this issue? I'm hoping it's not the cable reel.
Seems like a perfect match with the circuit diagram in post #2 given the blue wire at pin #2 on one side of the connector and the gray wire at pin #2 on the other side of the connector.
Do your continuity to body ground test on the blue wire terminal.

I did and there's no continuity sadly. Also tried doing continuity on the blue wire terminal to the horn's positive terminal and that also failed. Looks like I'll need to replace the cable reel.
Any tips on what I need to watch out for when replacing the cable reel? I heard the cable reel can be damaged easily.
