Default 94 Heater not working properly

So I just bought this 94 accord. The heater doesn't seem to be heating. The blower is working, so I know its not that. I called the guy who I bought it from, he recommended I replace the temp switch/****. This is my first Honda, so sorry If this question is a simple fix. Thanks In Advance.

I doubt its the ****, but you can take it off and turn the metal with some pliers as far in the red as it will go, and see if that helps. Also, check your coolant level, not enough coolant flowing through the system can cause little or no heat. Or, it could be a bad thermostat not allowing the engine to heat up properly.

Check your heater valve. Make sure it is opening when you turn the **** to hot. then check both hoses to make sure theyre both hot.

This!

The heater valve is located by the firewall. Just follow the heater hose located underneath the distributor and follow it back. It'll be connected to this black plastic looking valve. Sometime that valve is stuck close causing no coolant to carry in the heat. You just gotta loosen it by closing and opening it a few times, just be gentle cause you can break/crack it.

ideally if you have a heat gun, you can see what the temp is on both sides of the valve. When opened, it should be the same. Should be very close also, on the return line.

If it isn't the ****, I would go ahead and change the thermostat and do a coolant flush. Hopefully that will take care of the problem. If not, your heater core could be bad/clogged.
