Default Premature wheel bearing failure

I just replaced both front wheel bearings on my 98 ex. Drove it for around 2k miles or so and all of the sudden the front right is as noisy and sloppy as the old one was before I replaced it. Any idea why this has happened? I bought the cheapos from autozone cause I was short on cash at the time and pressed them in my self. Could the cheapo bearings really be that crappy? I also paid close attention to make sure I didn't press the bearings in crooked. The alignment is a little off as well but I wouldn't think it could wear them this quick for it's not out that far. I'm probably going to buy oem (or timken at least) and have it aligned and see what happens this time.

I can't speak to the quality of Autozone cheapo wheel bearings, but I would highly recommend Timken bearings! I bought both front and rear Timken bearings for my Civic and the fronts were made by Koyo, rears by NTN, both OEM bearing manufactures for less then Honda prices!

More than likely it was the fault of the person who installed them. Such is usually the case with pressed bearings. If it were a bearing module like on an older Accord or a GM product, then I'd blame the manufacturer, but you most likely messed up on install.

How easily did the hub slide into the bearing when you pressed it? q

Sweet! Looks like timken is what I'll be going with. If they don't last after an alignment idk what I'll have to try next.
Maybe the hub is messed up? I'm not sure how many times the front bearings have been replaced if at all. I did notice that the snout if the hub looked burned I'm guessing from where the previous owner drove it with the wheel bearing grinding away at it's self. Thanks for the input!

Its also possible you pressed the bearing too deep. I had a replacement bearing sound bad since day one after getting the machine shop press it in. I got tired of the growling noise after a year, so I had the dealership press in a set of honda ones (I purchased them elsewhere and simply brought in the spindles and they pressed them in for the cost of labor)
