OK SO MY 92 HATCH'S TRANNY WENT OUT, REPLACED ALL IS GOOD AND THEN IT GOES SOUTH FROM THERE... FIRST MY CAR WONT CRANK OVER (START) STARTER IS GOOD, ALTERNATOR, GOOD BATTERY, SO POWER ISNT THE ISSUE, I EVEN CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP REALY AND NADA!... BUT I WAS THINKING OF REPLACING THE FUEL PUMP, FUEL FILTER AND ALL THAT JUNK, BECAUSE IM HAVING TO SPRAY THROTTLE BODY CLEANER FOR IT TO START AND IT WORKS, BUT I CANT KEEP DOING THAT ALL THE TIME, I FEEL IT HAS TO BE A FUEL RELATED PROBLEM BUT NOT SURE IF ANYONE HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM, I NEED HELP AND ADVISE IF YOU HAVE ANY!!! PLEASE!!!
Check for bad gas (water?).
Possible bad distributor
Check for broken timing belt.
look in the oil filler cap as someone cranks. cam rotating?
Take out a spark plug.
Is it wet with gas? (Ignition problem)
Dry? (fuel problem)

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
He sprayed starting fluid in the intake manifold and he says the car ran. So it's obviously a fuel problem.
Is your thermostat housing ground tight and clean? What about the trans grounding strap?
