Default Starter Noise

Not sure if this is the right forum, so my apologies if I'm wrong. My starter is making a high pitched whine when I start my car. No hesitation or other problems, just the whine.

Is this a symptom of the starter going bad? The car is a 2007 Pilot with 151,000 miles on it and it runs great in all other aspects.

Thanks in advance.

Wrong forum, but I will try and help out. Does the sound go away after the car is started or does it take a while for it to go away? If the sound is still there after the car starts it is most likely a belt going out or another problem.

Sorry for the delay. No, it quits as soon as I release pressure on the key. No stutters nor stops - just a whine when it's firing up.
