speedo not working
So as I start driving this car more and more, more stuff just seems to start breaking or I catch problems before they happen. (car has been sitting for 6yrs)
Driving one day and the MPH needle starts to bounce all over the place, then it just quit and I got a CEL for a VSS. So replaced it, and problem not solved. Sensor came out of a working transmission. Checked voltage at plug and for good ground. so my question is if the harness is good and sensor is good, maybe the cluster?
I was searching on the forum thats the only other solution i seem to find. unless I'm missing something else. any insight would be great.

If all that stuff checks out, I've seen a cluster replacement work for the most part. Same thing happened with my tach, swapped it for a working cluster and it worked just fine. Got another one handy somewhere?
the connector was a little corroded so i de-pinned it and cleaned it as best as i can.
so as I was driving on the highway today the speedo needle started to just bounce around a bit, then just started working. so I shut off my car, yes on the highway. Coasted for a while then turned her back on, and the speedo started to work and the CEL went away. Thought that was pretty weird. But I think the MPH is off a bit.
But now at least I have an idea of how fast I'm going, instead of just sticking my arm window and guessing.
thanks for the help!
