1993 pre powerstroke garrett
Hey ht I just bought a Garrett turbo off of a 1993 pre powerstroke ford. I was wondering if anyone has used this turbo, how it spools, and what kind of power your making. Thank you!
You bought a turbo off a 7.3L diesel, and thought it had a realistic application for a Honda motor? You shouldn't have even needed to ask, you should have just thought about it for a second. Turbos for motors that size are in the GT40 to GT42 territory. You could use it...for a drag car, or a dyno queen, but not much else.

Pre powerstroke diesels were IDI motors and weren't turbocharged from the factory.
a few companies made aftermarket non-intercooled turbo kits for them. they used Garrett turbos, typically a straight t4 turbo...
t4 turbine housing (free floating, no wastegate), large p-trim turbine wheel, t04b compressor wheel in a t04e compressor housing.
this makes the turbo too big and lazy for 99% of turbo Hondas, not to mention t04b wheels only make decent power using high pressure ratios.
without photos and measurements we can't help you.
