Default Vtec Wiring Help!

hi guys!

I have got a b16a1 that i took out of a 91 crx vtec and fitted into a classic mini.
I have done a 0bd0 to 0bd1 conversion by changing the dash and engine looms, dizzy, injectors, throttle body etc.
The engine is running a bit rich but the vtec is not kicking in, i have checked my wiring, checked again and all my sensors are wired correctly.
I have tested the vtec solinoid manualy and it is working ok.
the vtec is still not engaging and i have run out of thing to try?
any info/things to try next you guys could give me would be much appreciated.
thanks
john.

Which CPU are you using?

What is the vehicle speed? I think you need to be going a certain speed for the CPU to engage VTEC.

What is the oil temp?

i am using a minitec chipped ecu.
the oil pressure switch in bypassed in the ecu.
vehicle speed does not engage the vtec but it does need to be connected, just so the ecu knows that you are moving before engaging vtec, my vvs is connected and working so it not that stopping the vtec engaging.

I am about to go through this also; I'm in the middle of re-shimming my transmission, then I'll be dropping the motor into the car and adding the VTEC wiring.

I have been looking at this link, for OBD1 (OBD0 is there too) to do some homework first:
