I just wanted to share with you a K24 Turbo Formula off road car from iceland

It has a built bottom k24a3 out of an euro accord types, dual valvesprings with stock cams, 904 auto trans, 70mm T4 twin scroll ebay turbo = 600+hp + 120hp of nos all tuned with megasquirt

OMG...I'd be dead in 2 mins. if I had the chance to drive that.

 

it's so safe you would live longer

 

I understand the purpose was to be built lightweight, but there is just not enough gussets to make me feel safe with that thing. Especially jumping it that high; that thing would most likely fail tech pretty quickly over here. With all that being said - more pictures please!

 

That thing looks badass but I would have to agree, that cage needs more structural reinforcement if you're going to be jumping it that high and driving it up the side of an almost vertical hill.

I would expect a lot more reinforcement at the suspension pick up points, especially where the front shocks mount... I can't believe a single hoop with no gussets or triangulation can withstand those kinds of forces without snapping off unless you have super soft shocks or there's extra bracing we can't see due to the angle of the photos and the sheetmetal skin over the chassis.

how's the auto trans holding up with that much torque, tire size, gearing, and vehicle weight? I'm assuming it's not a stock auto and is probably built like a tank.

 

At the end of the video you get a clear shot of the rear and it doesnt even look like it was boosted in that video, cant see the piping or turbo anyways as the high res pictures show it

 

You can clearly see the turbo.

Most of the drivetrain is hidden under covers to protect it from damage and debris.

 

there is strict rules in the formula offroad races so this doesn't fail tech, here are more photos

longitudally mounted full time awd. Pretty cool. Prolly pretty taxing on the pinion.

 

ah ok, definitely looks way beefier with the panels off.

Does anyone have any links to the information about this vehicle any more? Looks like most everything has disappeared from the thread other than the FB video and one video on youtube.
