This morning I drove my brother to school and I noticed this metallic squeaking sound coming from my car. I noticed that it fades a little when I press the gas, but it's loud when not pressing the gas (driving or sitting still). I have 96 civic, d16y7. The noise seems to be coming from the timing area, but I cant quite tell. I don't have the plastic piece that covers the top of the timing belt. Would that be causing it?
