so, last week i decided to do a little pull with 99 si turbo.
launch at about 3.5k, tires was spinning of course but no wheel hopping. got to about 80mph and then slow down to 70mph hwhy speed. then when i step on the gas, car blogs down a little bit then took off but it's make this really loud clicking noise from under the car.

thought i blew the motor. when i got home, popped hood and engine sounds normal. took the car around the block and starts making that clicking noise.
i thought broken axle. put car on jack stand and started the car up and looks like noise was coming from pass side driveshaft.

install new pass side axle and still make that clicking noise. took driver side driveshaft off, went to autozone to get axle but had to order one cuz they didn't stock a brand new one.
i decided to start the car up to see if it still make the noise, sure enough it still does but now it makes the noise even in neutral before it was only when in gears.

there's was no tranny fluids leaking out of the tranny axle hole when the car was running without the driver side axle. so, thought maybe tranny got no fluids or may be low. i then pull tranny drain plug and fluids started coming out.
before putting the new axle on the driver side, i was thinking of taking the axle out of my 98 ls and install it on the si to see if thats the problem.
but, now i'm thinking it's probaly not the axles but something in the tranny.

a few people i have talked to said that it might be a cracked flywheel or pressure plate.
should i try putting the ls axle in or should i just go ahead and take the tranny out?
sorry for the long post. btw, motormounts are good. have innovate solid mounts, exedy stage 2 clutch w/ lightweight flywheel at about 10k on them.
