Replaced all the engine mounts on my '94 VX with hardrace hardened rubber mounts. Had to press in the driver side mount because the bracket was wrong.

The car shakes like crazy inside now. Barely able to tolerate the rattle noise inside the car. Car is louder outside too, panels rattling and everything. Any advice? Do these things just suck that much? My old mounts weren't that bad they were just old and the lower driver side was constantly broken...

I'm thinking of trying to use pieces of radiator hose as insulators between the bolts and the mounts...

 

Did you do any research on stiffer engine mounts prior to installing them? From what I've read and understand the vibrations/shakes/rattles/noise you're feeling are a result of the stiffer mounts, especially with respect to Hasports mounts. I would expect the same result using Hardrace mounts.
