Default Possible to Replace A/C Thermostat without Removing Evaporator?

Do i need to replace the a/c thermostat to have my a/c working? it only works when i jump it and i read that it should only be a temporary fix, everything works good the a/c thermostat is the only thing wrong

Short of destroying your case to remove it, you will need to remove the evaporator housing to replace it. It must be clipped in the evaporator in order for it to function as designed.

The thermostat wraps around the coils. Its physically impossible to remove it w/o pulling the evap.

Instead, replace the expansion valve and call it a day.
