Default Turbo b20 sputtering issues need help

Ok so i just went turbo a few days ago and im having a issue with the car sputtering after 1/4 throttle at any rpm . If i only hold it 1/4 way it will go to redline no problem and build boost. As soon as i go any more the car just sputters and pops wont move but still builds boost.
But the first night i drove the car i had my foot to the floor and it was fine i didnt have this issue . Any advice would be appreciated.

Spark plugs are gaped to .30
Stock fuel system
Chipped obd1 ecu with a basic tune

I tryed advancing the dizzy all the way just to see if it would make a difference and it no longer sputtered untill i put my foot completely to the floor , but i risk detonation if i drive it like tht so im a little confused

"Chipped obd1 ecu with a basic tune"

Is that an actual tune, or a "basic tune" as in... a base map that someone just burned/loaded on to a chip for you?

You need to get it tuned asap. If you keep driving it like that you will damage your engine. Base maps are only to get you to the tuner. You should stay out of boost until its tuned properly.

Unhook the charge piping before you melt a hole in your pistons or crack a sleeve...

Let me.guess, stock.injectors too?

sounds like it, it says stock fuel system.

take the wastegate off or the spring out depending on internal or external, or take off a pipe like you said. whatever it is dont let the thing go into boost. get it tuned asap. its could be running a **** enough tune to damage the motor without boost
