Default OE motor mounts

i want to get OE motor mounts. im thinking about Westar or Anchor. i watched anchors video where the mount held up under 2300lbs of pressure. price is about the same warranty is the same.

any horror stories?

any good personal expirences?

im looking to get all 4 mounts (3 engine 1 trans) and i want them all to match mfgs.

DEA doesnt have much info. im assuming Honda requires mounts to hold under 1200lbs of pressure or maybe industry standard

If you're getting aftermarket mounts, they aren't OEM and shouldn't refer to them as that.

TAS Auto aftermarket replacements work just fine, I used them on my '96 and '97

If you purchase the anchor mounts at advancedauto order online and pick up at your local store use code TRT30 never expires and will save you a bit.

yeah in store prices are quite high. rockauto has them for $110 ish shipped for all 4 LMAO. i watched a youtube vid on the rear mount looks kinda difficult

OE=Original Equipment where Hasport etc would be custom mounts right?
OEM= OE Manufacturer Honda, Toyota, DODGE, Ford etc

I bought anchor the other day the quality looked pretty poor and read some reviews on how they give out over a few months so ppl would have to change em out every once and a while since they had lifetime warranty. Took them back.

OE (Original Equipment or Genuine BMW)
These are the parts that you get EXACTLY as if you are walking up to an authorized dealership and buying a part at the parts counter. (Example: Oxygen Sensor BMW Part # 11 78 1 735 499). These parts usually come in BMW marked packaging.
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)
OEM parts are parts that come from the same factory that makes your Original BMW parts, but they are boxed in their respective brands. (Example: Oxygen Sensor BOSCH Part #13231, which cross references to: BMW Part # 11 78 1 735 499). These parts are sold directly from the manufacturer to the suppliers or retailers and not through the BMW Dealer network, and usually means savings for the end consumer while still having the same OEM standards that the vehicle manufacturer specified.
You are referring to aftermarket parts. Hasport would be 'aftermarket' or third-party as well.

Anchor and Westar are not to my knowledge the OEM's for Honda.

If by 'town dealership' you mean _______ Honda, your local Honda dealership, then there is no difference between their parts and Majestic.

Look into TAS Auto, I used their aftermarket mounts without any issues.

Majestic Honda is a Honda Dealership. they have really low prices and can beat most In-Town Dealers. even when u add in shipping the Majestic prices should be less, unless u need the parts immediately.

I was hoping to avoid $200 dollar mounts but maybe not. cant seem to dodge them

Correcting someone posting incorrect info isn't trolling.

And to add to that, I suggested a reputable company (TAS Auto) that's listed in the Accord FAQ that has both OEM and aftermarket parts that are of good quality.

Use urethane window weld in the OEM mounts, most hardware stores have it and it will behave very close to poly inserts.

Majestic sells things at near dealer cost. The dealership marks up everything. Like do you really think a single plastic bumper clip should cost $5? Of course not. The dealer buys them for $2 or so then adds on $3 for their cut.

Anything you purchase from Majestic should come in an OEM Honda package with an OEM Honda part number. Generally, if you're purchasing smaller items you're better buying them local, Majestic adds on a processing/packaging fee that can make those little clips pricey.

I see.. Makes sense tho. Already placed order with my dealership only 14$ more than majestic. I'll probably order from majestic next tho just to re try them out.

yeah i saw that on youtube and on Acuraforum

fordfocusforum says only use OEM (motorcraft) @ $115

mustangforum says poly insert (Energy suspension or Prothane) and in fact the Anchor mount had a few engines sitting so low they caused major engine damage which anchor wouldn't even acknowledge they just refered them to the store for lifetime warranty exchange

nissanforum says poly insert (ES or Prothane)

saturn forum says OEM (GM) no frowny face mount =(

Honda OEM mounts from Majestic are around $600 for all 4 or polyurethane front and rear mount and OEM side and trans mount for around $300

decisions decisions
