Default IACV hose location?

Hey guys, like the title says, I have a D16Z6 in a EF, and I'm trying to figure out where hoses from the IACV hook up to. I've already googled, no luck. I believe one hose hooks to the water pipe but not for certain, pictures and diagrams should help. thanks for your help in advance..

I gotchu. Googled Z6 IACV and looked at the pictures. I am guessing you aren't familiar with this and don't know what to look for.

Thanks for the help and the pics, the only thing that concerns me is I think I have one of the nipples on the water pipe not two, the blocked off one driver side.

Nevermind I found another pic on my computer of my motor as I was assembling it, and the water pipe has both nipples. What about numbers 5 and 6 for the fast idle valve that is under the throttle body? I have a breather like an air intake on the valve cover so no split piping or anything for the hoses to get to to the fast idle valve and intake manifold.

That breather is supposed to connect directly to the intake pipe. It has nothing to do with coolant routing or the FITV. The pipe that is connected to it normally is actually two pipes, one for the PCV system (valve cover to intake tube) and the other for the FITV. As long as you connect the nipple that is standing upright on the manifold to the FITV it should still work just fine.

EDIT: Reread your post, seems you understand what needs to be done. Head to your local parts store and ask if you can look at their generic preformed coolant lines. You can use general length but it'll kink if you have to much of a bend.

I'm sure they'll have something close to what you need. If possible bring in the original lines if you still have them so you have something to compare for shape and size. I did the same thing years ago, had this gigantic line to replace those two temporarily. It had a few extra bends I didn't want or need but it was enough to connect the two nipples.

Good luck!

I did that too when one of my coolant hoses sprung a leak on the road. I believe I got a ford U-bend and used it. No problems. You just need the shape, and like 24TEN said, prevent kinks.
