Radiator fan not coming on help!

Default Radiator fan not coming on help!

Today i was driving and I got a CEL. Im running hondata s300v2 and checked what it was and said Over Heating. THe car was running hot and then noticed the my Spal 13" fan isnt coming on. I Jumped the wire to the switch and turned the ignition on and fan didnt come on. I jumped the relay and fan still didnt come on. What could be the problem ?

Did you try running 12v directly to the fan or testing for power going to the fan?

did you check the fuse to see if it was blown?

hopfully the fan motor burned out.. if not looks like you have some wiring issues..

check the fan and make sure it works

run 12v directly to the fan... if it still doesn't turn on then the motors probably dead... New fan time

I havent had time to check the fan hopefully it is the fan. If the fan does turn on. What fuse is the fan? I am running a 13" spal with no relay maybe i burned some wires... I checked everything and looks fine

Just checked the fan and it works when u plug it up to a 12v. Which fuse so I look at? What else should I look for?

Check the thermo switch by the thermostat housing, make sure it's connected well and if it is, check to see if it's still un good condition.

Was a blown fuse. Is it because im not running a relay with my spal fan? I put a new fuse and running fine but dont want to keep on replacing fuses. This is the first time this has happened

You need a relay...

but for the relay to work the fan needs to be hard wired to the battery (the proper way)

if you don't do it you'll end up blowing fuses left and right and potentially melting wires causing a fire hazard.

Yea u need a relay. Look on jegs or summit they have the spal relay kit for ~40 bux. It comes with everything u need.
