Default Dual pump hanger wiring question

Ok I got my dual hanger used from a guy on here. I needed to get new screws to hold the legs to the hat so I've just had it sitting here for awhile. Well yesterday I took it to lowes to get some screws n got some new fuel hose so I thought I was ready to figure out how to install this thing n I realize the one ground wire has a tear in the insulation. My question is what would b the best way to fix this? If I were to depin the plug n rewire it should I use any certain kind of wire since it will b getting fuel on it? Or would it b better to cut it, slide on a couple pieces of heat shrink, solder it back together, n then heat shrink it? I'll b running e85. Thanks for any help. Mike

Heat shrink should be fine my wires were all jacked up the 1st 2nd 3rd time the dual hanger broke on me.

Make sure you use submersible fuel hose, but I ended up using 6 or 8 an braided line because the fuel hose kept
Breaking on me and the braided line is resistant to kinks Haven't have trouble out of her yet.

Use plenty line they will kink because of the angle and position of the dual hanger. Try to slide the pump low and rout the hose around the leg.

It's tricky but not as tricky and getting them in the tank

Good luck

Here u go guys what do u think of this!? I ended up soldering new wire onto the clips for the pumps since I had to fix them n the old wire was brittle n hard anyways. I used three layers of heat shrink for the joints. I'm wondering what the best stuff would b to use to seal around the wires in the hanger? Also I got some submersible fuel line from auto zone but that dipshit gave me the wrong size n I was getting a bunch of stuff that day so I never checked it. Well I had a piece of 6an laying around so I chopped that in half to c what it would b like n I do feel like this will b easier to put in, so I'm gonna grab a foot or two next parts order so I can make these a lil bit longer. I'm surprised with how short a piece is there it's barely trying to kink.

Looks good it will be hard to shove In the tank with the hoses and clamps I the out side but looks exactly like mine.
The braided hose is also a pita to attach the second leg on.

But hey I did it like 8 times lol.

Let us know how it works out.

Also I replaced all the wires on mine I drilled out the hole with that hard filler they put in ran new wires and refilled the hole with Honda bond works great.

Yes I'm on e85 should make life easier with the tank out. But you will see what I mean about attaching the legs when you actually
Install the thing. The braided line is more resistant to kinks so that's a huge plus.
I think honda bond will be good it would take a long *** time for the e85 to eat threw the sealant.
Good luck

What was the problem. If you put 1 leg & pump in at a time with a lil bit of man handling, shoulda went in.

Well I actually did get the pumps in the tank, that wasn't the problem it was getting them actually both bolted on n the hoses on that was the problem. Next chance I get I'm gonna go at it again this time I'm gonna change up the way I was trying to do it. Also I may warm the hoses slightly to make them a little more flexible mayb that will help. It really is a bitch to get these things in there but I feel I should get it next try. I just had to quit cuz I was getting so frustrated lol

Got that in today! For anybody that would like to know I ended up using 5/16" submersible rubber fuel hose, about 9-10" on each side. Honestly now that I got this in I think I could do it again in about 20 mins. Now to throw the tank back in! Can't wait to get this thing up n running!
