After putting in my new rack when I took out the steering u joint I had a white thing fall out on me from the steering column. I have put it in every orientation trying to get it to fit and can't.

After looking in the FSM I found its called the retaining collar. I also noted that I don't have any steering wheel play as in my tires move the second I move my steering wheel but my steering wheel is super loose for about an inch both ways.

Any help on finding out where this white collar piece of crap goes? The FSM doesn't even touch on it. Thanks
