Broken Coolant Temp Sensor
97 Civic 4dr In attempts to replace the coolant temp Sensor I over tightened and it snapped. Think the wiring is still connected inside and there are no leaks .Is there anything I should worry about since I won't be able to get back to this til next weekend.
Over tightened due to me trying to line up the clip so it wouldn't be facing the distributor making it inaccessible.

The 2 wire or 1 wire? Assuming 2 from the post, but shouldnt cause any problem. Is the CEL on? If anything, the ecu will default and assume car is always cold and your fuel economy will go down along with a higher idle.
Coolant temp
Ran it after install fan kicked in after running for about 20 min.
Engine light was on code said sensor was bad hence the replacing.
Did not reset ecu left it to cycle in hopes it shuts off on its on

The coolant temp sensor (one pin) only sends coolant temp information to your cluster. The TW sensor sends coolant temp information to the ECU, and the fan switch tells then fan when to turn on and off.
Exactly what is the code?

Hey guys, just reading through your posts about the coolant fan issue. my 07 civic coolant fan will not shut off until the battery is dead and engine cold for two days. The fan runs at low speed continuously. After pulling fuses/relays its the right fan that wont shut off (facing car) I'm assuming , after reading the posts, that my problem lies in the fan switch not telling the fan to cut off? So, of I replace the fan switch then the fan will cut off when its supposed too?
