Default Manifold Decision problems

Hi, after spending tons of money on my all motor integra decide to go for turbo, i got almost EVERYTHING bought, except i made the mistake to buy a cheap cheap ram horn manifold, so i decide before building buying a new one,

option:

Cast iron top mount (Gsp), i know that the SUCK, but im counting on the iron to hold

cas iron bottom mount, Go-Autoworks, i read some good reviews about their products

both allow me to have A/C and P.steering, to be honest i dont want to spent more than $250, already have a few K's and i want something to do the job, ill be pushing things till i get 500+ whp, at least got all for it

thanks in advance!!!

I am kind of in the same boat as you.

I've read someone saying that they have gone 10's on the Inline Pro cast manifold, which the GoAuto is very similar to.

I think I have decided to go with Spoolin's "Mini Ram," which also allows for AC/PS. Lovefab makes a different style of mini ram, but they want $800 for it. Yikes.

What turbo are you using?

If you are so close, and assuming all other parts quality why would you sacrifice one part and go on the cheap? Save a another few months and get the quality part, or you will end up taking everything apart when it breaks, and I don't know about you but I only like doing and paying for things once. Wait. Buy the quality part.

read the faqs in advance.

mini ram and cast iron is the best for quick responce and you can keep also the A/C

there are a lot of manifolds in the market, a good market research will give you the best option. Start from ebay "b18 turbo exhaust manifold with A/c" and avoid the chinese ramhorn and miniram

than ask the local honda tunners

i have a precision 6262 .82 turbo, yes i bought quality parts, autoworks have ram horn for 600 but i don't want to go up there, im making sure that when i decide to go for 700+ i just have to install sleeve piston and go for it, that's why im taking my time, cast iron have proven to be more than efficient and already spend enough on the intake manifold, my main concern is the turbo being that low, were im living the streets sucks and there's a lot o dirt, have you ever used top mount CAST IRON ? they are Chinese to be honest.... that's why the doubts

thanks guys! appreciate your help

I lucked out and got my Neukin miniram for like 100 new on here haha.

the cast topmount has proven to be reliable and support big power. the China copies are cloning Spa Turbos manifold to a t... and it's kind of hard to **** up cast iron, like really hard.

the main issue you'll have is the angle of the turbine inlet flange will cause turbos with large compressor housings to hit the radiator and/or the hood and you won't have room to run a filter on the turbo or an intake since it basically puts the inlet against the drivers side headlight bucket/core support.

user Turbo-LS on here makes a clocking flange for the spa/china cast topmount that positions the turbo straight like a typical manifold.. this eliminates any fitment issues and makes downpipe construction a bit easier as well as allowing you to run a real filter on the turbo or make an intake tube that places the filter behind the headlight or in the wheel-well behind the bumper allowing the motor to ingest the coldest air possible

thanks you! exactly what i wanted to hear, do you trust in the Chinese top mount???? definitely going to but the the clocking flange, i have my doubt with chinese but iron is iron and basically their are made with a mold..... being objective it should work just fine!!!......

People have been using the copy cast manifolds with no issues. sometimes the ports and runners need to be cleaned up due to casting flaws, flash, and overly large casting seams but that's it.

a few have had to deck the head flange, turbine flange, and wastegate flange due to them not being level. I would suggest you check the flanges with a straight edge before installing it. if you don't have access to a machine shop then a sanding block or belt sander does just as good of a job.

It maybe a little late the inline pro cast stainless manifold is pretty sweet. That's what I was going to go with, but ended up with the full race ram horn. In hind sight I have been getting into time attack and the log manifold and a smaller turbo would have been more ideal.

Inline pro manifold is hard to find affordably, people think that because it has inline pro on it that it's worth it's weight in gold, when it isn't.
