Killing ECU's
Ok everyone I'm lost on this one and am hoping someone can help. I have a 92 integra with a B16 in it. I've owned the car for 10 years and never had an issue untill the past few years. I don't drive it much anymore due to other vehicles but I went to drive it and it wouldn't start I found the ECU was shot one of the capacitors in it appeared to have been shot.
The car sat outside and we had a couple good down pours and it suffered from the horrible pass side floor leak and it was pretty bad in the car. I figured maybe the ECU just got wet and shorted out. Well I bought a new ECU and put it in and the car started up and ran for about 5-10 minutes and then Pop.... smoke..... same problem. I don't want to throw another ECU into it without checking some stuff out but the problem is I don't know what to check out.
Any ideas?
