Wipers Wiring Harness
So I'm troubleshooting a problem with the wipers running continuously and not parking. I opened up the wiper and jiggle the wire and I can press it and activate the wipers. Smoke came out from the steering column...
Problem is the wiring harness is down in there. Please tell me I don't have to take off the dash to find this open. Also, I think it's the ground wire. Can anyone confirm which wire after the 6 pin connector is the ground? I think it's the green wire.
Thanks~

So is this a 90 or an '02 Accord.....and some of the newer ones it matters what trim the car is.
What testing procedures are you following?
Without much to go on here. I'll guess, replace nothing on a guees, that the wiper switch is toast. Now that there has been "smoke", there might be some wires that are toast as well.

I tested wiper module and it has continuity in all the right places. Wiper switch is good.
Is it possible to completely remove the wiring harness to the wiper module (7 pin connector). If so, can someone tell me where the other end connects to?
When I move the steering wheel up the wipers start running (I imagine it's short to ground?) when I push the steering wheel back down the wipers stop immediately and don't park. I suppose it could also be the Ignition Control Unit, since the wipers don't park.
Thanks~
