Hello everyone. I recently got a 94 hatch with a b20b swap inside. My plans are to swap my built gsr into it. However, I need to b20 up and running so that I can swap it into a daily. The only real issue I am having is the stupid check engine light. It is code 3 (manifold absolute pressure). I have swapped map sensors with known working ones (no success). I have checked wires (all are plugged in with no breaks). Map sensor port does not seem to be clogged (very strong and normal vacuum from port with sensor unplugged). All vacuum lines are good with no leaks. The car is running rich (smells of gas while driving). The car will misfire/hesitate when at about 2700-3100 rpm (shifting into next gear eliminates it). There is also a misfire/hesitation while cruising and only slightly pressing the pedal. If I give it more throttle the hesitation goes away. I am at a loss. I have good spark all the way through the wires. Any advice on which direction to go? Thank you all in advance.

 

What color wires are going to your MAP?

 

I'm not with the car right now. From memory I would say red with yellow stripe. Green with white stripe or possibly no stripe. And a solid white.
