backfiring on my d16a6.
I have been looking around the forums for backfiring and seen a lot was cured by spark plugs wires. So I bought some put them on and still have that Damn buzzing/backfiring, in order to drive around quite I ave to keep my foot on the gas a little so it doesn't backfire. Could there be any way that there is to much/less fuel doing it. I am currently running a pm7 ecu, could that do it I'm stumped. Please any info will be greatly appreciated. Also on the end of the fuel rail there is a little Phillips head screw on the end and mine pushes out and squeeks. Is that suppose to do that or do I need to tighten it all the way.
need a better explanation then that... backfires while driving?idle?startup? assuming the car runs and drives atm..? could be a bad distributor aka ignitior.. could be somethin simple like plugs/wires/distrib cap or rotor... could be fuel related either fpr.. clogged filter.. leaky injectors...
On start up it idles at 2g then when warm it drops low to about 400.when it warms up is when it starts doin it.I have replaced plugs, plug wires, distributor, cap and rotor, fuel filter. I have checked the injectors as well. It is a 5 speed. Its backfires sometimes while shifting gears and for instant I'm in 4th at 3g and let off the gas it will cackle and pop.

i hope tyou have a resister box on your car for those fuel injectors pending they are OBD0 injectors from the d16a6. try finding a PM6 to use instead of the PM7 theere maybe a issue with ur ecu. and or your injector wiring may be off.
Yea I bought the car and it already had everything done to it. How can I check to see if they are the right injectors. And yea I have been lookin for a pm. Thanks for the help much appreciated
