Have a major problem starting the car
Been reading and searching for answer on this forum and found quite a few helpful tips. Have changed the following: fuel filter, distributor cap, spark plugs and wires, ignition rotor(the spinning flint), and re-soldered the main relay, yet, it hasn't change. The engine is still cranking over but nothing close to starting it. Any other suggestion?

for spark go ahead and take one of your wires and lay it so the end is close to the frame. have someone turn it over and you should see a spark from the wire to the car. for fuel go ahead and pull out the 10mm bolt on the top of where the fuel line hooks to the car. its on the firewall. turn it over a little and see if fuel comes out.

I have fuel since I did that already to make sure my new filter was in working order and fuel was out and about but I will definitely go check the sparks right now. ty
About the timing belt, no I have not touch it at all. If I have a timing belt problen then I'll let the pro handles it.

Re: Have a major problem starting the car (Malachi)
It's a 95 civic dx. Camgears, is that the spinning flint? If it is then it looks very much like the old one. I brought the old one into the auto store and they gave me a new one for like 18 bucks. If it's not then please let me know what it is. I'm not to aware of techinical automotive terms.
I checked the spark and I don't see any spark at all? Odd.. and confuse now. What now?

make sure you intalled correctly your rotor, the spinning flint wheel. the distributer cap, plastic piece over the rotor where the spark plug wires come from. make sure while your at it that you gapped your spark plugs correctly. go buy either a helms if you plan on doing a lot of work yourself, or at least a haynes to do this little stuff. it will help a lot.

Ty for your help Malachi. I'm going to do what you said one step at a time. For now I think I'm going to head out to the pier to release some frustration on those fish. Will be back tomorrow to report more unanswer problems hehe. Thanks!
