can anyone tell me what the light under the carpet on the front passenger side is for. is it a ligh that flashes the codes. if it is what would be - one long flash a pause,, and 14 short flashes. would it be codes 1 and 14 or code 15. i have a 91 civic dx and it has a hard time turning over and it will stall on me . i dont have a obd1 scanner and midas charges 100 just to pull up the codes because its obd1, autosone dosent have a obd1 scanner.

 

if you are posting in the wright forum your car is non OBD aka OBD0. If you are talking abotu the red led that is in the ecu, then yes it is flashing check engine light codes. what you are describing sounds like either a code 14 which is the idle air control valve OR code 1 and code 4 which are the o2 sensor and CKP sensor. I lean towards two codes since CKP will heavily affect starting and smooth running.
