I just got in my s300 and my laptop is screwed up. I'm getting a new laptop this weekend or next week. So I have it hooked to my desktop computer to load a basemap for my vehicle. With the hondata cable I can hook up and record, but when I unplug it and try to drive and record my map it won't record and I can't push the record button to record.

So how do I record data without the laptop?

 

enable on-board datalogging?

 

Yes I've enable it in the tab on board datalogging, I've even sent the engine parameters to record at 3k rpm with 30% throttle. So I go back and hook up my s300 to desktop and click download from ecu and nothing.

if you have any recorded logs on the s300, delete them all first. otherwise check your settings, it may just not be meeting all the thresholds.
