800-1000hp guys. chime in please.
anyone using the new JE headgasket? if how is it holding up?
golden eagle head studs... i understand and always use their TQ spec but is anyone getting away with a few more ftlbs to clamp the head down better?'
what timing is everyone at around 40-45psi using e85?

Speedfactory runs the JE Pro-seal headgaskets. Both the Outlaw and the SFWD cars are over 1000whp. After talking with Kevin (one of the engine builders) they have had success with them as they have a new/improved sealing ring (fire-ring) surface and are compatible with O-ringed blocks aswell, although they run H11 headstuds. GE's should be fine for 800-1000. I am running GE studs and waiting for my JE headgasket to show up, granted I will not be running that type of power in my street car.

Yea I plan on running the h11 studs as well. as far s I understand ARP stopped making the h11 studs but do offer them in their ARP2000 material. cosworth is the only company I really know of making h11 studs.
I'm wondering at what point a 1/2" stud becomes necessary... trying to figure out if huge displacement, high compression, high boost, and an 85mm bore will need the 1/2" studs.

I've got a couple customers running in the low 30psi range on 62mm cars using standard ARP studs(upped the ft-lbs spec a little) and have been on the JE ProSeal(84mm) gaskets as of the beginning of last year. Compared to the traditional GE gaskets they don't seem to wear down as fast....or at all so far. I like them.
I always hot torque the head studs, torque the studs to recommended specs/way when building the motor , then after first start up re torque the studs while still hot. You will be amazed the variances from nut to nut worth the extra time......
H11's not available anymore A1 quit making them and GE won't have their studs anymore other than stock because a1 made them. Arp doesn't offer an upgraded material stud for b series. You can talk to Howard at ARFab about running ARP2000 studs which is like the h11 material in the b series. He does them for 400 if I'm not mistaken. I have ARP2000 studs in my block with GE headgasket oring and step deck dartons. No issues at 800

Yea I just tried to find the h11 studs... definitely not available anymore.
ARP will make a set of ARP2000 material studs on a special as ordered basis. it's either that or bump up to their 1/2in studs.
