getting fuel and spark....ethanol fuel questions
who knows if the modern ethanol fuel will leave enuff water in the tank to make a vehicle act like there is water in the fuel....spitting and sputtering like its out of fuel but has about 1/4 tank? mixed some 93 octane with some GATE 97 octane WITHOUT ethanol ran car down to a little under a 1/4 tank parked it for 2 days now it wont fire back up 96 accord f222b thanks for your help
holms......38.3psi at the rail car is getting plenty fuel pressure
sorry for incorrect info thought that sounded a little on the low side pops was saying its plenty but rechecked to day and got 46.8psi fuel filter is on the newer side of about a year old......does the fuel pump have a little sock on the end like the older GM trucks?

Yes the fuel pickup has a sock on it.
Pull your spark plugs...if they are wet and smell like watered down or stale gas then you will most likely have to drain your tank.
Have you tried spraying any quick start into the intake manifold to see if it will start?

ghost i have some old c16VP fuel sprayed across the TB with the fuel pump fuse removed and idled just fine plugs have a faint stagnant smell to them my question is the little drain bolt in the tank how hard are they to remove? the access panel in the trunk, will that lead me to the fuel pump? read it dont and most people with a CD5 cut a "flap" in the shell under the back seat.....that dont sound correct

well drained the fuel and its more water than fuel thanks for all the help....and yes was with the car trying to run on water but still 46.8psi at the rail fresh sunoco 100 octane and fired right up
That really sucks!
Pretty shitty deal when farmers switch to growing corn for this big ethanol craze that never happens. Then the regular consumers are forced to put up with shitty fuel to make up for the governments shitty policies. I'm pretty sure that we still don't have a gas station that sells E85 in my local area.
Running Ethanol is not that much better for the environment and it is definitely not any better for our pockets. Why should you be forced to pay higher prices for lower MPG fuel? Only ones benefiting from this are the government, and big business.

Hey MudPuppy. If you need non-ethanol gas, check out pure-gas.org. You can look up where non-ethanol is sold by state and then city. I live in NC. I downloaded a file from that site and loaded NC and SC into my GPS as Points of Interest so I can find non-ethanol when I'm on the road.
