new drag racer
I am just starting to drag race, and I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas on what I can buy for my car besides a turbo or supercharger. Just looking for some ideas. Thanks!
Suspension. Tires. Traction bar. Pressure gauge. Spare parts that are likely to break. Extra tools to bring to the track.
The list goes on. You building the car for racing or just drag racing your street car? Helps to know the type of build you have in mind and what your goals are for the car.

Get some good tires and take it to the track. Find someone there willing to give you a few pointers, if you are new to drag racing there is a ton of time to be shaved off just by learning to launch the car well and what works best for you.
^ exactly.
I'm not saying Ive been doing this for decades or have a bunch of expertise because I dont, and I havent. 2-3 years racing now and I can completely agree with seat time being my biggest improvement overall. Mildly built car and i keep tweaking things here and there to get more consistent rather than just building a big car that i know nothing about (seen that at the track a lot)
Welcome to the lifestyle of empty wallets and less sleep during racing season!
