Default Key removal

Im wondering how you guys that went to a switch panel got rid of the key as a whole. I dont know if i should pull the steering wheel off to get it off or what so any input would be awesome.

pull the column covers off and you will see 2 bolts that hold the housing on. they are missing their heads for anti theft. you can break them or cut them off

We just leave the key, works fine no reason to remove it
