In between doing the whole drag racing thing.. ive never taken it to the track before. . And wanting to start.. but I know the car is capable of doing a 10 or lower pass... but I know my suspension has to set it up and. But a cage in it.. what u guys thing about riding around with a cage. On a weekend car.. or even doing drag racing.. im a noob with drag. Racing stuff..

I'd say try it and see how you like the track setting. You will probably run high 12s till you get it figured out and get it all set up. I for one am over the drag only car phase but did go through it and learned a lot.

Cage on the street is frowned upon but a lot of us have done it.

Yea, cage on the street needs to be kept to a minimum. The chances of bashing your head on the cage in a crash are pretty good.

The guy above me is right though, your first trip out wont get you cage required times. Borrow some drag radials or slicks and give it a shot. You will either get hooked like I did, or you will keep street racing. Once you hit 11.50 then decide to make it a drag car or not.

I'm serious. And when they throw their leg over the bar with a skirt on you can tell if she's a classy bitch or a bad bitch.

A 4pt won't allow you to run better times at the track than a 5pt.

This thread makes me realize that I do need a cage in my DD though.

You're going to need a 10 point your car will easily trap 135+ and tracks won't let you run after you put up a 135 pass if you go often enough depends on each track though but forget about running it in an event.
