What would you do? The nut on the inside (inaccessible) for the control arm broke off. I was considering replacing the subframe or cutting it so I may weld a new nut for the bolt. But I dunno if that's a good idea.

should be able to get subframe for 40-75$

 

Someone explained me how to do it and I'd rather spend the 50$ on a new one lol

 

Are you talking about for the bracket?

 

I'm talking about for the control arm where it bolts to the subframe, opposite side of the control arm from spindle.

 

75$ ain't bad for a good rear engine mount, fatter sway bar, and a new subframe with less rust

is there a way to fix this subframe tho? I'd like to have a spare

 

One of them broke loose on my sub frame. I drilled a hole under where the bolt should be and opened it up enough to get a wrench in to hold the nut and tightened the bolt as tight as I could then welded the nut back to the sub frame as much as I could. Then tightened the bolt some more. After that I welded in a filler piece and painted the exposed metal and welds.
