zc(d16a6) re ring questions

Default zc(d16a6) re ring questions

So my zc burns a bit of oil. Did a compression test dry came out to

1: 152, 2: 151, 3:152,4:155 dry test

1:180, 2: 180, 3:180, 4:180 wet test

So for sure my rings are going out. I just wanted to re ring it my question I just have to hone it and ring in would it be fine

Simple answer yes. You should also check ring end gaps just to verify everything (would be a good idea to write all of the info down per cylinder too for later reference).

Cool will do also a buddy of mine said to check the bore of the cylinders for tapper and egg shaping I mean I don't think I need to

You're buddy is right, that's the more complicated answer and the more in depth approach (also the approach I'd take as well). Visually when you have the head off you may already see that you'll need to do more than hone or maybe as you hone you'll see. Just be prepared.
