Default Step retard on TurboEdit

Hey guys ! I recently put a B20b in my 90 dx hatch , my car is still OBD0 with a xenocron chipped ECU . I tuned the fuel tables with TurboEdit and I have the cruising AFRs at 14.5 , 13.0 when entering boost and a consistent 12.0 @10 psi . I'm running a 60-1 turbo , cast log mani , stock ignition with ngk bk7re plugs gapped at .026 , 450cc injectors and a gsr fuel pump (will be upgraded to a walbro next week) . I use a innovate wideband for fuel tuning but I do not have an egt gauge unfortunately . Now .. On to my question. I'm using the step retard option on TE set at the recommended starting point of -.25 , I have no detonation but it feels lacking in power . Should I take away from this number or add to this number to get more power , and at what increments ? Will changing this step retard number automatically adjust each individual psi accordingly to retard more as you get to higher boost levels ? Thanks ahead of time !!!! Casey

there's no easy way to tune ignition. there's definitely no safe way to estimate ignition either. in my experience it's likely that you could add a few degrees to the entire map and it'd be fine, but the only way to tell if you're making safe power is to graph the results. the manual in my signature is for Crome, but the process is the same for TE.

Ok so maybe I should switch it to linear then add one number at a time to see how it does ?
