Default ** EM1 Rear sway bar onto a EJ8 **

Hey guys as the title states haha..

Just wondering would i need to add an ASR rear subframe if i add a em1 rear sway bar?! People say yes & no.. Like put the ASR subframe with the RSB so that the oem subframe doesn't twist...

Most likely get a ASR but just wanted to know peoples thoughts on running the sway bar without it!

Cheers guys!

No, you don't need to for an OEM SI sway bar. Anything larger than OEM, you should.

People say you don't, but I did just for peace of mind. Asr brace is nothing compared to repairing a torn subframe. Also, keep in mind that the Si did come with factory reinforcement for the subframe that isn't present on the Ej8

Yeah, as far as I know, the part numbers for the rear subframes are the same...

My bad, I was thinking of the ctr bar and ctr factory reinforcement. Em1 subframe is same as ej8 but I'd still get the asr.

It didn't, the only Civic to have a reinforced subframe is the CTR.

A Si sway bar will bolt onto a EJ8 using almost all factory components. You will need 4 bolts/washers/nuts.
Possibly a drill/10mm drill bit if you do it the way I did.
