Hondata s200 blinking led
Hey guys I have a s200 with a slowly blinking led but I have no cel on. The cel will come on a few seconds but goes off. I've checked for bad connections but found none. This is a brand new s200 I've bought from someone still in the original box and plastic.
My ecu is a usdm p72 which has already been socketed and chipped running fine before I got the s200. So I got the s200 and hooked up to 4pin cn2, j12 cut, j1 jumped.
The chipped I got it from I had it tuned from phearable.net, could the chip b the problem?
Any help apreciated

I need the s200 to stop flashing so I can get started on the next steps. Once I get it to stop flashing then I want to set my rev limits then start data logging.

It's not gonna happen until you buy the software. Contact Hondata to see if they will give it to for free since the s200 is no longer being sold.
Hondata will not grant you permissions or provide the software access the S200. They officially abandoned the platform. If you have the ROMulator you can use it with Crome if it's still working, but the S200 unit is trash.
Sometimes they offer a discount if you trade it in for an S300, but Neptune is compatible with your existing ECU so I'd suggest that route instead.

Ok I've emailed hondata so I'll wait to see what they say. Since I got s200 I just need to do some adjustments at low idle for a smoother ride, I'm not lookin for anything major to tune. But I am building a ls vtec turbo but it'll b until next year till I get all together then I will trade my s200 and upgrade to s300.
But just for now I just need to do some fuel adjustments for my dd.

Yes, you will have to use ROMEditor 4 to tune a s100 or s200. It must be purchased for $195 from a Hondata dealer... and you will need a chip burner.
You mentioned setting launch control and datalogging... have you emailed Hondata your s200 box serial number to see what features are unlocked ??? This is an important step because if they are not, you cannot unlock them any longer.
Lastly, if you got a phearable basemap, the chip instructions will run the car the same way regardless of whether the s200 box is plugged in or not (it may produce a 4000 rpm rev limit with the box plugged in - if so, remove it and see if this issue goes away). Until the map instructions are compiled by a Hondata program, the file size check-sum doesn't match the box, causing the light to blink.

Ah yes, you are right. Contacted hondata and they said the same thing, I need hondata map file. Yea I gave him the serial number and it does have all the features except for g sensor, boost, and rom editor.
Also I forgot to ask, can I reprogram this chip to work with the s200 and I'd like to use this base map and tune the fuel on low rpm band. Can I use this base map and reprogram the chip to work with the s200?

^ seriously it's not worth paying any money for, at the absolute minimum buying Crome Pro for $149 would be worth more than RE4 on an S200. But a Neptune/Demon kit is under $400 and would plug right into that ECU, which is a hell of an upgrade.
