Need ANTI-THEFT ideas NOW!!!
Came home last night around 10, woke up this morning only to find my lude was broken into
. The guy was an amateur by the looks of it, all I had on was a club and he tried cutting the steering wheel but had no luck
. He then proceeded to pull apart my seats and console in search of spares I think. He should've taken the stereo at least for his effort lol. Any ideas on what I can do besides kill switches????

I live in an apartment and have a camera that point to both my cars and bikes. Helps to know if someone will try to steal my toys or where that new ding came from. Theft is pretty high in Miami. I had a 6 speed TSX stolen from me 3 months after paying it off. I am sure someone enjoying that swap My buddy and I witnessed some guy jump out of his suv and steal the antenna off my old neighbors s2k at 2 am. We would have done something except the guy that owns the car is a dbag. I am really surprised people still break into cars.
Alarm with motion sensors so the alarm goes off before he can touch it. Autolock on clutch and brake. Wheel boot. Duel sirens with backup battery. Tilt sensor, Clifford Blackjax. Hood/trunk pins. Pull the fuse for the ECU
The more layers of security the better. It used to take me 15 minutes to start my 94 Integra GSR when I had it. I use to bring my spark plug wires into class with me. hahaha, I sold it because I couldn't enjoy it anymore worrying about theft.

In my state you are allowed to pull guns on car thieves, I keep a loaded G21 .45auto under my bed lol.
Car alarm with a second set of speakers and battery inside the car so it deafens him while he ***** with it..
There are alarms that will text you and have GPS tracking like a cell phone.
Cut off switches on gas, spark, fuel, even seen headlight/taillight switches so if they steal at night they wont be able to see where they are going. Which a car driving with no lights will attract police attention.
People who have done AC deletes have used the AC switch as a hidden kill switch or other unused switches in the car.
there are many ways.

im surprised as well you dont hear about car thefts as much anymore, unless its just me that doesnt get the news.
Unfortunately you don't hear about car thefts because they are such a common thing. In my city of ~1.3 million people, there are like 15 car thefts a day, mostly big Ford trucks, or cars left running to warm up.
A Viper is just a brand of alarm, which can do many things based on how many features you buy, and how it is installed. A good installer can hide the alarm well, and make it harder to disable or remove.
Anything that slows a thief down will make it a less likely target, but it sounds like whoever tried your car was not an experienced thief.
Clubs, pedal locks, starter and fuel pump shutoffs are all good, hell some Acura Integra type-r guys used to remove their ecu every time they left the car. But in the end of the day, if the thief wants the car, they will find a way, i.e. tow truck, rolling it etc.
The best way to avoid it, don't make your stuff look desirable. Don't leave stuff in plain view inside the car, don't blast a huge stereo all over the place. Don't have flashy parts and stickers all over the car. Don't go to meets and pop the hood showing off parts to people you don't trust etc.

x2 with snobordboy. One way or another the car is gonna get taken. I know from experience. People can do all kinds of tricks to try the event from happening but its gonna. just keep your ride out of shady places and keep it somewhat in sight. down here in this state its more likely to have your ride taken in less visibility. only true pros will take it in plain sight.
sry if i sound a bit ignorant but truthfully a killswitch wouldnt stop me personally from taking anything from your ride nor the whole thing. maybe to an amatuer yes but not pro's.
These have all been almost stolen from my ride. Almost, because I have a killswitch.
Your wrong. A killswitch will prevent most car theives from stealing your personal belongings inside the vehicle, such as Orbitz gum, stereo speakers, dashboard *****, mountain dew bottles, condoms, seat belt buckles, dome lights, trip reset pegs, and center console lids.
