Default My car almost got stolen

Just right now about 10 minutes ago i heard a sound so i looked out the window and i see nothing. I decided hmm just to make sure ill push the panic button then when i go my alarm went off and then i see two kids dressed in black run out. I was about to call teh police but they were long gone runing and jumping over walls. I went over to check on my car and everythign was fine no straches or no ateemps at all.

Moral of story : Alarm is your best friend and lucky i was awake at 5 am in the morning.

Glad your car is still there man, keep her safe and disable something just incase they do disable your alarm!

Glad they didnt take it... I would take that as a warning though and some some more things to the car to prevent theft.

Block it in with another car, kill switches, wheel locks, unbreakable autolock...

If possible, I would recommend getting a removable steering wheel as an additional antithief device for your car. It's the best investment I ever made, and I'm pretty sure it would too for everybody in here!!

If thieves ever bypass your alarm, they can't drive without a steering wheel!!

This is what I did to protect my car a little better... I have no car alarm.

I used to work for a home alarm company so I had a hook up for free/cheap parts. I got a home alarm system and wired it up in my closet with a siren in the house (my room) and one in one of the attic vents so it makes noise by where I park the car.

I programmed two wireless motion sensors into the system and at night I just throw one in each one of my front seats, and then I just activate the alarm (away setting) either from the keypad in my closet or my wireless remote.

They dont go off by just walking by the car because of my 5% tint, but if one of the doors happens to open it detects the movement and triggers the siren in my room and outside. Also the wireless motion sensors have a thing where if they go out of range they also trigger the alarm, so if someone jackup the car and tries to tow it without getting in it'll still go off as soon as they're pulling out of the drive way.

Havent had it go off because of thieves yet and I hope it never does, but I just did it to be more protected and because I had the parts...

Just wanted to share, just incase anyone had some alarm parts laying around.

It's not hooked up to the police or anything, so I dont see anything that makes it illegal.
