Default OBD1 CEL code 4

Swapped a B16b into a 94 Del Sol. Used a chipped OBD1 (by Phearable) and an OBD1 harness. I'm reading that the code 4 is the CKS and the recommendations are to replace the dizzy, but everything was fine with the engine before the swap. It was in a 97 Civic all OBD2b. So I don't think it's a problem with the distributor. I did buy the conversion harness to be able to plug the OBD1 harness into the OBD2 distributor. Is it possible I still need to modify some pinouts at the ECU? Any other thoughts?

Oh yea, the car starts and runs. It initially wouldn't idle. I had the small hose that previously went to the purge solenoid run to a small port on the intake manifold. After removing the line it will idle, but seams strange that I would intentionally have a vacuum leak on the intake. Is this a contributor to the problem?

If the engine was running in a obd2 car previously, maybe the car was using the ECU for this engine.

I think I'm missing something. Looks like all the bypass instructions are for mods to OBD2 ECUs. I have an OBD1 ECU running an OBD2 Dizzy on a JDM engine.

Try this, perform the distributor resistance test for CKP.

Appreciate the reply man , we ended up getting it. I misunderstood the code when I called mikel and it ended up being code 14 which was the IACV... and one of the hoses got loose..... oops.
