rear disk brake help

Default rear disk brake help

took my brakes apart greesed sliders
the sliders keep wanting to push out is that normal?
put everything back together but now the hub wont turn im guessing because the sliders keep pushing out

i havnt driven it yet but i pressed the brake pedal a bunch of times but didnt do anything

disconnect the ebrake cable. does the problem still occur?

the sliders will keep pushing out because there is trapped air in the pocket. slowly push the slider pins in. Is the brake rotor even or are the pads even? Sounds to me the pads are worn out un-evenly.

I'm also guessing they may not be seated properly. You could take it around the block and see if the problem goes away.

Keep in mind there is never anything holding the pads off the rotor. The rotor simply kicks them off as it gets up to speed.

the pads are a little uneven i think the inside one was bigger.. so whats wrong u guys think?

My guess is the rotor is a tiny bit warped and the pads aren't fully seated. I'd spin it around the block and see if the problem fixes itself.

the dam metal thing around the rotor was on it
