I am currently rebuilding my cable S1 B16 transmission and the 1-2 sleeve is pretty worn down. I have a spare 1-2 sleeve from a hydro LS transmission lying around that is in great condition. It fits great on the cable transmission hub, and everything else looks the same. Would there be any reason not to use it? Anything else I should worry about? I have the LS hub, if I need to use it that would be no problem too.

Use the cable S1 hub with the hydro LS 1-2 sleeve and it will be fine.
