Default Cable Ls case with cable B16 internals?

I found a good deal on a cable b16 transmission, but the case is messed up. I have a spare ls transmission sitting around, Can I put the b16 internals in the Ls case? Is there anything I need to change? I searched and could not find a deffintate answer

The ls is a 91, not to sure about the b16. I do know both of them are cable though.

cases are the same.

I've yet to see a B16 cable tranny that used the 92-93 GSR/LS style tranny.

I believe the 92+ cases used check ***** on the shift linkage, so that would be a way to tell.
